Swirve is an electric trumpet, drum and vocal contraption. It began with Dallas Trumpeter, Chris Curiel's need to combine his formal jazz training with influences from Dave Douglas to Miles Davis to Don Cherry and Avashi Cohen. He uses electronics and loop samplers, along with Gerard Bendiks with his Music of West Africa, Middle East and Europe influences, and poet/writer, Tamitha Curiel on words.
